Dear Friends, Students, and Parents of Texas A&M University—Corpus Christi Department of Theatre and Dance:

On April 5, 2013, my father, Bill Frost, passed away of pneumonia due to complications from ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease and Alzheimer’s disease. As a memorial to my father, his best friend and philanthropist, Morton Meyerson, has established a scholarship in conjunction with TAMUCC entitled: Frost Scholars. The Frost Scholars scholarship will provide financial assistance to TAMUCC theatre students who qualify—specifically theatre students with financial need and at least a B average who apply and are approved by the TAMUCC scholarship committee. At the moment, we have a lovely window of opportunity to have any and all donations made to the Frost Scholars program at TAMUCC matched by the David Nathan Meyerson Private Foundation. Thus any donation made to the Frost Scholars fund will be doubled if monies are channeled through the David Nathan Meyerson Private Foundation. It is my hope that you might be interested in contributing to the Frost Scholars fund while monies have the opportunity to be doubled.

If you are interested in seeing your monies doubled, there are 2 ways in which you may contribute:

To contribute via check, complete the attached form and make your check payable to “The David Nathan Meyerson Private Foundation”:

To contribute online via PayPal:

Follow this weblink: www.2m.com/tzedakah Follow the online donation link and put “Frost Scholars” in the Special Instructions on the payment review page. (I, myself, have followed this exact path to make a donation to the Frost Scholars fund.)

My family and I appreciate your time and your interest in the theatre studies program for the theatre students at TAMUCC. Nothing would make my family prouder than to know that theatre students for years to come will benefit from my father’s passing. He was a huge proponent of higher education and, though not a practitioner of the arts himself, he valued how the arts contributed to the human spirit and life‐skills of theatre and dance students. My family and I applaud his friend, Mort, for offering this unique opportunity to see that all donations made through his foundation be financially matched. I have been assured by the foundation that all donors will receive a tax‐donation form for their contribution to the TAMUCC Frost Scholars program from the David Nathan Meyerson Private Foundation.

Thank you so much for your time and interest in the financial well‐being of our TAMUCC theatre students!

Very sincerely,
Alison Frost
